Girls I don't think putting a shorter stem on a frame to make it fit you is the answer. If the frames top tube was designed for a mans longer torso with a 10cm stem for balance, putting a shorter stem on just changed the balance of the bike. You need to have the right size built for your specific measurements. It's your money you are going to spend so don't settle for an o.k. frame fit.
